Arts education

Arts education “I’m fortunate to be able to be boots-on-the-ground, teaching in Chautauqua County schools and working with the amazingly talented and creative students and teachers in our area. They inspire me every day. I’ve heard students speak their names for the first time when we encouraged them to drum their names. I’ve read plays written by third-grade students who tell stories of their real lives—including stories of poverty and food scarcity, yet always with hope. We collaborate with teachers and students, encouraging all to discover the artistry within themselves and share their stories with the world. Yes, Chautauqua has much to offer our community—but, through this work, we see daily how much our community has to offer to Chautauqua.”
